Leeds Community Health Trust

Delivering LCHT New Staff Hub

GenNorth were asked by Community Ventures Leeds to support the relocation and delivery of the new staff hub for Leeds Community Health Trust (LCHT), through the provision of a number of core roles. The project involved the relocation of approximately 500 staff from Stockdale House in North Leeds, to a new office at White Rose Office Park (WROP), in South Leeds.

After an initial review to identify potential gaps and risks to the programme, GenNorth provided a team to manage the programme, lead the IT workstream and develop the brief / requirements for the Trust. Through a programme of stakeholder engagement sessions, a detailed brief and accommodation schedule was developed for the Trust. This exercise informed aspects of change management requirements and further comms and engagement, to ensure the smooth transition of services into the new hub.

The primary challenge for teams being the shift from desk allocation, to a significantly reduced footprint (approx 350 desks reduced to 138 desks) as a result of the increase in hybrid work patterns.

GenNorth also provided assistance in the procurement of all other professional services in order to deliver the project. With a challenging delivery phase of just 12 weeks, and the integration of existing furniture and equipment to support the Trust’s ambitions to re-use and re-purpose as much as possible, the project required detailed coordination and communication. The new Hub provides a modern and flexible base for teams to work from as part of the drive to use space as efficiently as possible and allow for the integration / co-location of key partners.
