Bede Sixth Form College - Science Lab Conversion
GenNorth provided Project Management, Commercial Management, and Contract Administration for the Education Training Collective (etc) on transformation of an existing media lab into a fully equipped chemistry science laboratory tailored to meet the A-level curriculum requirements. The project aimed to create a cutting-edge facility for teaching and experiments while ensuring compliance with rigorous safety and operational standards.
GenNorth managed every phase of the project, from initial design through final delivery. The team's responsibilities included designing the laboratory layout, coordinating with specialist contractors, and overseeing the construction and installation processes. The project unfolded during a summer works programme with a tight six-week timeline, ensuring the lab was operational for the new academic year. Despite the ambitious schedule, GenNorth's project management expertise and effective coordination with contractors enabled on-time delivery without compromising quality or safety.
